Hajj 2027 (1448 AH) is expected to fall around 14-19 May 2027 (8-13 Dhul Hijjah), with the Day of Arafah expected on Saturday 15 May and Eid al-Adha on Sunday 16 May 2027. Dhul Hijjah itself is expected to begin around 7 May 2027. As with all Islamic calendar dates, these are estimates subject to confirmation by moon sighting closer to the time.
We want to be direct about what SafirAvia does and does not do for Hajj. We are not a Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA)-licensed Hajj Group Organiser, and Hajj from Pakistan is not something a travel agency can simply sell as a package the way Umrah can. What we offer is honest guidance on how the process works, help with flight ticketing, and registering your interest so we can point you to the right licensed channel when the government scheme opens.
How Hajj from Pakistan actually works
Hajj for Pakistani citizens runs through two channels: the government scheme administered by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA), and the private scheme through MoRA-licensed Hajj Group Organisers (HGOs) — over 800 of them are licensed. Pakistan's Hajj quota is roughly 179,210 pilgrims, split close to evenly between the two schemes in recent years. You cannot book Hajj as a standard travel package the way you would book a hotel and flight for Umrah; you must apply through one of these two official routes.
Government scheme vs private HGOs
The government scheme is generally the lower-cost route, applied for directly through MoRA during its announced application window. Private HGOs offer more choice over hotel standard and group size but at a higher price, and depend on the individual operator securing its Saudi allocation on time. In 2025, Pakistan's private Hajj quota fell sharply — from 89,801 to 23,620 pilgrims — after a number of private operators missed Saudi Arabia's 14 February 2025 deadline for Mina camp bookings, a reminder that the private route carries real operational risk if an operator is disorganised.
What SafirAvia does for Hajj
- Guidance — we explain the government vs private process, current quota situation, and realistic timelines, honestly and without exaggerating what any agency can guarantee.
- Flight ticketing — once your Hajj place is confirmed through MoRA or a licensed HGO, we can help arrange or advise on flights where the scheme allows independent ticketing.
- Interest registration — we keep a list of families interested in Hajj 2027 so we can share the MoRA application window and licensed HGO options as soon as they are announced.
We do not sell Hajj packages, issue Hajj visas, or represent ourselves as a licensed Hajj Group Organiser.
UK and overseas residents: Nusuk Hajj
For UK, EU, US and other Western-passport pilgrims, Hajj bookings since 2023 go exclusively through the official Nusuk Hajj platform, not through Pakistan's MoRA scheme. If you are a UK-based Pakistani planning Hajj on a UK or other Western passport, you will need to apply directly through Nusuk Hajj rather than through a Pakistani operator — we can point you to the correct platform but cannot process a Nusuk Hajj application on your behalf.
Expected 2027 dates and what to plan around
| Event | Expected date (1448 AH) |

| Day of Arafah | Saturday 15 May 2027 |
